ABOUT US

Insightful Resources, Inc., is a 501c3 nonprofit organization founded in 2021 by Alison Johnson, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, to increase community access to quality mental health services and training opportunities for the next generation of mental health providers. Our organization is grounded in the values of access, diversity and growth. Insightful Resources' first large-scale community commitment has been providing therapy to students at a local elementary school in compliance with their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), while also providing support to administrators, teachers, and parents. In 2023, we partnered with the Open Path Collective to begin offering affordable mental health care to people in our community with our first hired Associate therapist working under a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. These milestones have been vital in helping us to carry out our mission.

In 2024, Insightful Resources began establishing collaborative relationships with Pepperdine University and the Chicago School to launch our Practicum Program to provide new Mental Health Providers training and clinical skills while also increasing access to affordable therapy in the community. Our first cohort of students started in 2025.

Insightful Resources remains centered and focused on our mission by continuing to develop relationships with community partners to provide services, continuing to offer high-quality, accessible mental health care to our clients and members of the community, and continuing to offer professional educational and training opportunities for emerging therapists in Southern California.
