About Emily...
I enjoy working with all people, with a soft spot for adolescents and transitional-aged youth (16-24). As a first-generation Mexican American, I am passionate about helping other “first gen” individuals navigate the challenges that come with that. I also love working with the LGBTQ+ community, creatives, and people plagued by the effects of “hustle culture;” including but not limited to: entrepreneurs, parents and women dealing with the inequity of labor within our society’s culture. Together we will discover your worth outside of being productive!
I work with a broad range of experiences, including identity exploration, existential concerns, ancestral trauma, healing, and life transitions. Depending on your goals and needs, I incorporate projective tools (symbols, imagery, oracle cards) in a therapeutic way. Through these practices, we can address issues like creative blocks and limiting behaviors. I am dedicated to affirming care that welcomes all aspects of a client’s identity, lived experience, and cultural context.
I am very eclectic in style and tailor treatment to the individual, though I do see things through an attachment lens. I believe the client is the expert of their lives and I am just the guide. I look forward to creating a safe space to foster healing and empowerment with you!
